And so it begins...

It has been 11 years since Amie and I started dreaming about living together on a sailboat. A conversation on a first date over cups of coffee in New Zealand, has become a shared goal and motivator for us for over a decade. Since then, we got married, moved to Maine, had a daughter (Lucy), moved to India, had another daughter (Scout), moved back to the States, and for the past 4 months, we have been working to prep our boat, Momo. We launched in Duxbury about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday, my father and I brought the boat down to Marion while Amie and Scout waited for Lucy to finish up her second-to-last-day of kindergarten. They met us in the Cape Cod Canal to wave hello, and then again in Marion. Today Lucy says goodbye to her classmates, and tomorrow we move aboard. We hope to head out of Buzzard's Bay on Friday.
We feel so incredibly fortunate to be taking this adventure together as a family. We are acutely aware of the fact that none of this would be possible without the incredible support we have been given by our parents and siblings. Thank you to all of the Larsons and Lawsons!

We will use this blog to chronicle our adventures and keep in touch with family and friends. Thanks for joining us along the way!
