This morning we headed out of Galesville and had a smooth sail to Harness Creek, about 8 miles away. Harness Creek is off of the South River, between Galesville and Annapolis, meaning we actually went a little north. It is a very protected anchorage, surrounded by a State Park called Quiet Waters. There is a dingy dock, and a mile hike on a paved road through the park that leads to grocery and marine stores - perfect! This afternoon we did just that, picked up some supplies and gave the kids a chance to do some scootering. Early tomorrow morning a strong cold front is supposed to pass over us, bringing lots of rain, thunderstorms and wind. We will happily stay put here and hopefully head further south on Thursday.
